About the Digital Collective
Long story short
We started as a small team following the Government Digital Service (GDS) Service Manual. We developed our practice over time, learning Human Centred Design, Service Design and Design Thinking techniques and practices. We used these to create and iterate our own practice and we would like to share this, along with our tools and templates, with you.
From our playbook
The term playbook refers to American football. In the game, each team have a series of ‘plays’ – learnt formations and strategies that help people work together without discussing what to do. We want to share our plays so that we can learn our part and unconsciously move towards a tighter, faster and more powerful delivery.
In order to work effectively, we created a playbook for our team. It’s a collection of tools, methods and structures – albeit very loose ones – that helped us succeed. It included the reason of our being here, what we believe in and how we work. Use these pages to structure your own ideas and challenges.
